Deputy Director General for Regional Geophysical Surveys
Sergey Kashubin graduated from Sverdlovsk Mining Institute majored in geophysical methods for exploration of mineral deposits.
From 1978 to 2004, he worked in various positions in the Ural Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia (Yekaterinburg). In 2004, he held the position of Deputy Head of the Regional Agency on Mineral Resources in the Urals Federal District (Uralnedra) of the Federal Agency on Mineral Resources.
In 2007, Mr. Kashubin joined VSEGEI as Director of the Centre for Deep Geophysics. Since 2015, he has been holding the position of Deputy Director General for Regional Geophysical Surveys.
Awarded with the Excellent Explorer (1992) and Honorary Explorer (2006) Badges; A.E. Fersman’s Medal of Merit in Geology, 2012; Medal of Marine Merit in the Arctic", 2018.
