The subject of the workshop was the discussion of proposals for international cooperation prepared by the Chinese and Russian sides in the creation of geological and geophysical profiles and the compilation of geological maps of Central and Northeast Asia. The international cooperation is planned in six lines:
1) Earth CT – a program for building “Big Cross" depth profiles;
2) Compilation of a 1:2.5M geological map along geological and geophysical depth profiles;
3) Compilation of a 1:2.5M map of Quaternary deposits of Central and North-Eastern Asia;
4) Compilation of a 1:2.5M neotectonic map of Central and Eastern Asia;
5) "Big Altai" project, compilation of 1:1M geological maps;
6) Updating the geological, tectonic and metallogenic maps of Northern, Central and Eastern Asia at a scale of 1:2.5 M.

As a result of a lively discussion on specific issues of implementing the proposed areas of cooperation, a range of issues, both substantive and information-technological, was outlined. The workshop participants agreed that the working groups would coordinate further cooperation.
